DropArray™ platform gives researchers the ability to perform assays on limited precious samples with greater ease and accuracy.
The DropArray™ platform allows for handling of semi-adherent and suspension cells working in HTS in the exactly same manner as adherent cells with minimal cell loss.
Biological samples are often precious (e.g. differentiated stem cells). DropArray™ allows for the use of around only 500 - 700 cells per data point compared to around 3000 - 10,000 cells per data point on a conventional microplate.
The automation of the wash step to a single whole plate wash minimizes human error and machine error brought by 'well-by-well' washing, improving the reproducibility and quality of the experimental results.
The miniaturization of samples and reagents on DropArray™ plates reduces the time taken to reach reaction equilibrium, enabling reduction of incubation times by as much as 75%.
The DropArray™ platform is completely compatible with the SBS-96 and 384 microplate well formats (with 1536-well format available soon), allowing the DropArray™ plates to be used with conventional microplate imagers and dispensers. Furthermore, the whole DropArray™ platform is easily integrated into existing liquid handling systems.
Due to the reduced sample and reagent volumes required, DropArray™ platform is able to provide around 75% cost-savings to users. Moreover, the whole system is easy to set up and requires minimal maintenance and training.
