The Curiox story DropArray™ technology was developed by a research group led by Dr Namyong Kim at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN). The group subsequently spun o" from IBN in 2008 and formed Curiox Biosystems, backed primarily by Nanostart AG, a renowned venture capital $ rm in Germany; and Exploit Technologies, the commercializing arm of A*STAR. In 2010 Curiox received a large corporate investment by the Zicom Group, a Singaporean/ Australian conglomerate group of companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. The investment by the Zicom grouphas enabled Curiox to accelerate its product development and its overseas expansion and sales plan.
Within the first year of its launch, Curiox received positive responses from its beta customers, achieved multiple sales and signed on its first distributor. Presently, the number of laboratories using the DropArray™ platform worldwide is 7 and rising.
Since its launch, Curiox's DropArray™ Technology has contributed to enabling breakthrough clinical research and is positioned to enable challenging assays in the fields of high throughput screening for drug discovery, molecular biology and diagnostics. Curiox continues to strive towards its vision of accelerating research in life sciences with its DropArray™ platform.
