Cellular assays have become fundamental and irreplaceable tools in drug discovery and life sciences, allowing researchers to test various molecules in a more biologically relevant context than biochemical assays. Many assays using primary or stem cells remain under-utilized due to limited availability or high cost. Traditional assays suffer from significant cell loss during washes and evaporation issues during long-term incubations. Even when sufficient cells are available for traditional assays, often more than 95% of cells do not contribute to the analytical results.
