POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Production Planner is responsible for receiving forecasts and purchase orders from sales, reviewing the details, and establishing production plans. The planner will issue sales orders, work orders, and manage the shipment process. This role requires leading sales & operations meetings, coordinating production and shipping schedules with the sales and marketing teams, and working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operations. The Production Planner will also be responsible for managing tasks in the ERP system, such as item creation, BOM creation, work orders, and assembly builds, while also handling cost calculations. When needed, the Production Planner will participate in packaging tasks to support production and shipment efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage forecasts from the sales team and Purchase Orders (POs), confirm production plans, and issue work orders
  • Manage production and shipment schedules, ensuring timely and accurate shipment execution
  • Lead sales & operations meetings, coordinating production and shipping timelines with sales and marketing teams
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to optimize production schedules and resolve any operational challenges
  • Participate in packaging tasks when required to ensure smooth production and delivery
  • Perform cost calculations and manage cost efficiently in the production process
  • Communicate effectively with international partners and stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination
  • Manage tasks in the ERP system including
    • Item creation and updates
    • BOM (Bill of Materials) creation and maintenance
    • Issuing work orders and executing assembly builds


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning or a related field. 
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of BOM creation and work order management
  • Proficiency in cost calculation and managing cost-related aspects of production.
  • Proven experience leading sales & operations meetings and coordinating production schedules.
  • Experience in overseas export logistics.
  • English proficiency is required for communications with international teams and partners.
