T cells, or T lymphocytes, are a type of white blood cell that play a central role in the adaptive immune system. They are essential for identifying and eliminating infected or cancerous cells and for coordinating the immune response.

T cells have unique receptors (TCRs) on their surface that recognize specific antigens presented by other cells. Types of T cells include Helper T Cells (CD4+ T cells) that assist other immune cells by releasing cytokines, Cytotoxic T Cells (CD8+ T cells) that directly kill infected or cancerous cells, Regulatory T Cells (Tregs) that maintain immune tolerance and prevent autoimmune diseases, and Memory T Cells that provide long-lasting immunity by “remembering” past infections and responding rapidly upon re-exposure.

T cells are a crucial component of the immune system, responsible for directly attacking infected and cancerous cells often found in tumor tissue, coordinating the immune response, and maintaining immune memory. They are a focal point in immunological research and therapeutic development.

How Curiox Can Help

Curiox technologies are designed to help preserve cells in their native state as much as possible. Our systems ensure high reproducibility and integrity of precious samples, which is essential for accurate research outcomes. Curiox C-FREE and Laminar Wash technologies help maintain better separation of memory T cell subset and higher retention of gamma-delta T cells, leading to improved data resolution and consistency in results.

By combining innovative washing technologies and automated platforms, Curiox products help to improve resolution of cell staining and help to ensure that cell recovery from tumor tissue has been realized. Additionally, better debris removal enhances the resolution of rare cells.

With the ability to increase sample quality, Curiox automation and washing systems improve data quality, save on flow cytometry reagents, simplify and standardize immunophenotyping protocols, and can significantly minimize staff hours, making the research process more efficient and reliable.
